Artist statement:

"I literally started in ceramics tugging at my mother’s skirt when she was lacking a babysitter and took me to an adult education ceramics class at Belmont Central School.  To distract me from the tugging, I was given balls of clay and told “make something.”  A lot of years past before I decided to take a break from an engineering career to study ceramics at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Tennessee."
