Artist statement:
JP is an abstract painter specializing in work made to complement contemporary interiors and enjoyed in intimate settings. JP's paintings are colorful, expressive and playful as well as contemplative and emotional. In addition to painting, Tidman and his spouse make custom wood frames for the works from raw lumber, some foraged from the woods on Short Mountain. Craftsmanship is of upmost importance, so each piece is made with archival materials, is heirloom quality and made to last for years to come. Commissions available upon request.
JP Tidman received his BFA in Fine Art at The University of Texas in Arlington in 2001.
